My training is in orthopedic surgery, pediatric orthopedic surgery and spinal deformity
correction. I have been in practice in Edmonton, Alberta since 1979 and affiliated to the
University of Alberta since that time. I am a clinical Professor in the Department of
Surgery and have served as Divisional Director and Program Director for the Division of
Orthopedic Surgery for a total of 14 years. Subsequent to this I became Assistant Dean
of Admissions for the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry for 16 years. In 2007-2008 I was
honored to be President of our national organisation, the Canadian Orthopedic
Association. My research work has focused on spinal deformity with members of the
Faculty of Engineering. For the past 5 years I have been performing IME examinations
and writing reports, experiences that will be very helpful in evaluating the injured worker.
